Millions of livestock in the Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region are entering the transitional season from mid-March to mid-April. They are gradually transitioning from winter pastures to spring grasslands. During the transition process, the local government will arrange sheep-drawn vehicles in advance for herders and set up service stations along the way to provide them with necessary supplies. 

In recent years, there have been various methods of transition for herders in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture. In the past, it may have involved the whole family, including luggage and the flock, moving together. However, now it can be said that one person with a horse and a group of sheep can make the transition. The elderly and children mostly reside in settled areas of the herding community, which facilitates their access to education and medical services.
