NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department reports a car theft ended with a dead battery, but the suspect remains on the loose. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

The crime began on March 21 at a home in the 3800 block of Hollygrove Street. According to police, someone stole a silver Toyota Camry. The car was recovered a few says later on March 27 at a convenience store in the 3400 block of South Carrollton Avenue. The NOPD also released security camera footage that shows some of what happened at the business.

In the video, the stolen car is seen, backed into a parking spot. Also, a pickup truck is seen in the video rolling up to the front of the Toyota. According to police, the battery died on the stolen car and the suspect asked a Good Samaritan for a jump. …
