Renewable energy ownership spat brewing | 1News

As New Zealand uses more renewable energy technologies like hydrogen, an ownership debate is brewing between Māori and the Crown.

Currently, almost all of the world’s hydrogen energy is generated using fossil fuels, but those processes emit carbon. What’s been labelled as green hydrogen comes from water split into hydrogen and oxygen, a process that uses renewable energies and does not emit carbon.
