Legislative session ends soon: lawmakers race against deadline [Video]

The clock is ticking at the state house as lawmakers continue to go through as many bills as possible before the end of the 131st legislative session.“There’s a lot of work still to be done,” Rep Marc Malon (D) said. “There’s a lot of bills and paperwork being passed between the House and Senate, which means we’re busy for long stretches of time, and then we have to wait for a long stretch of time.”The decisions are intense; some bills taking longer than others to discuss. One topic that has been up for debate is the supplemental budget, originally introduced by Gov. Janet Mills on Feb. 14.The budget has been a highly contested topic for weeks.
