SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Friday was a very active weather across Nebraska and Iowa with multiple long track tornadoes impacting the Omaha and Des Moines metro areas as well as several smaller communities in Siouxland, mainly in Harrison and Shelby counties.

The severe weather has ended for Siouxland Friday night and storms are expected to exit the area by 2am.

Expect Saturday to be generally overcast with another chance for storms to fire up by late Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the area in our far southeastern counties in Iowa that was hit hard Friday, may have another chance for severe weather, including tornadoes, by Saturday night. More detailed information will be available Saturday. Highs Saturday will be in the middle 60s.
