Bengaluru Gated Communities Face Water Crisis After Govt Takes Over Private Water Tankers |Top News

Top News | On March 2, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar declared that the state government will seize control of private water tankers in Bengaluru because of the acute water scarcity in the city. As a result, residences that were formerly right next to tankers are now need to go via BWSSB. The 2,500-unit Prestige Falcon City Apartment Owners Association (PFCAOA) on Kanakapura Road sent out an internal communication to its tenants that said, “We regret to inform you of a critical situation regarding our water supply.” We have learned with worry that all water tankers are being seized by the RTO and BWSSB officials in order to guarantee water supply to regions where there is no water available due to extreme water shortage.”
