Boris Johnson criticised Rishi Sunak’s Brexit deal in his first major speech in Europe since stepping down as prime minister.

Speaking at the Global Soft Power Summit in London, the former leader of the Conservative party claimed the Windsor Framework that was struck to resolve the Northern Ireland Protocol row doesn’t “take back control” from Brussels.

Mr Johnson added that he would find it “very difficult” to vote on the deal.
