Center Point leaders launching hardship program for debris pick up [Video]

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Mayor Bobby Scott has announced that the city will no longer provide free debris pick-up services and will charge $50 to those who are 65 years or younger.

However, considering the rising cost of living and to support citizens who are struggling to make ends meet, the city council has decided to offer free debris pickup services to some neighbors in need. Councilors Sharon Jones and Tiffany Moore have led this initiative, which will not only help citizens in need but also keep the city clean.

“All you have to do is come to City Hall.
