Kokshetau is hosting the innovative projects competition ‘Akmola Power’ and ‘Mini Expo 2016’ to mark the major international event in Kazakhstan Expo exhibition. 40 inventors have entered the competitions. Competition ‘Akmola Power’ included only young scientists. Participants of all ages competed as part of ‘Mini Expo’ contest. These are annual events held since 2014. This year, they are dedicated to architecture and design. Projects of school students were of particular interest. For instance, the school student of the versatile grammar school Adiyat Rahmetullin built a mini-hydroelectric plant. The young inventor believes that electricity generated at this power plant will be cheaper than the conventional method of power production.
