Area residents voice opinions to Town of Stark Board regarding proposed wind project

JORDANVILLE, N.Y. — A proposed small-scale wind project that will bring an estimated 1.2 million dollars over the next 20 years to the Town of Stark was once again the topic of discussion at a town board meeting Tuesday evening, and the debate over the project doesn’t seem to be blowing over any time soon.

New Leaf Energy is proposing the small-scale wind project, which will consist of just 2 wind turbines. If approved, the turbines will be located in an area roughly 8 acres in size, off Sickler Rd. iStark.

At the meeting, the board once again heard from residents on the project. Many, but not all, in attendance seemed to be against it.

Representatives from New Leaf Energy were also on hand to answer questions.
