‘Different energy sources’ will hopefully ‘bring down’ prices: Dai Le

Independent MP Dai Le has called for a conversation around the “different sources of energy” because it will hopefully “bring down” energy prices.

Opposition leader Peter Dutton has flagged higher-paying jobs and energy subsidies for coal-fired power stations that move to nuclear energy.

Sky News Australia understands Dutton could release part of his party’s nuclear energy plan within weeks after flagging more potential sites along the east coast.

“I think we should have a conversation around the different sources of energy,” Ms Le told Sky News Australia.

“It doesn’t mean you have to commit to anything … why don’t we look at some of those alternatives because that will bring down, hopefully, energy prices for people.”
