DuCard Vineyards honoring its environmental stewardship programs [Video]

An Etlan winery is continuing its commitment to environmental stewardship through seeds and plantings.

DuCard Vineyards has a long history of focusing on environmental leadership and sustainability. The winery has been recognized as the “Greenest Winery in Virginia” by Virginia Green. DuCard’s sustainable practices include solar panels, electric car charging stations, reclaimed wood, corn starch cups, lightweight wine bottles and cork recycling. The winery, which borders Shenandoah National Park, also has a partnership with the Shenandoah National Park Trust which includes the development and sale of wines Shenandoah and Black Bear which provide donations to the trust for every bottle sold.

Now, the winery is continuing its commitment by giving away packets of seeds for at-home planting with every tasting room purchase. The program continues while supplies last.
