Experts weighing in on the state of gas prices say good news is on the way | News [Video]

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – The switch over to summer gas is behind us, meaning rising costs are slowing down. However, as experts at GasBuddy report, many refineries across the country aren’t producing much gasoline due to maintenance needs.

That low output is reflected in an 8 cent increase in the average cost for gas in Indiana this past week.

Now, prices are higher than they were a month ago and this time last year.

In a few weeks, many refineries will be wrapping up maintenance and should be putting out more gas.

Experts say there is good news, though.

In a few weeks, many refineries will be wrapping up maintenance and should be putting out more gas.

That means supply will be better meeting demand and prices should be leveling out and maybe even going down. That’s barring any more trouble in the middle east that could impact crude oil costs.
