CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A First Alert Weather Day is in place for Thursday due to expected morning rain and possible thunderstorms.

  • Today: First Alert Weather Day, wind and storms
  • Friday: First Alert: Gusty winds, stray shower
  • Weekend: Lots of sunshine, much warmer

It will not rain all day today, but there will be a risk for rain at any point during the day. Showers and isolated severe storms will blow through the area today along with wind gusts up to around 35 mph.

Trees and power lines may come down in the gusty winds, and your lawn furniture cold get blown into the neighbor’s yard. Still warm today with highs in the middle 70s.
