Flint programs creating change among youth in light of water crisis | Flint Water Emergency [Video]

Two Flint based programs aimed at youth are creating change makers as they learn to advocate for their communities amid the Flint water crisis.

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Ten years ago they were children, and a water crisis was beginning in their home town that would shape their lives.

Now as young adults, they have learned the power of their voices and the difference they can make in their own community.

“I think that they’re an example that we more than just the water that we drink,” said MSU Assistant Professor of Health Disparities Research and Founder of the Flint Public Health Youth Academy Dr. Kent Key.
