Heavy rain and snow hit the Panhandle [Video]

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Wind chill advisories continue to exist over northwest Alaska, for one more night at least. And wind chill warnings are still in place for the Dalton highway and the Beaufort sea coast east of Utqiagvik. This warning affects the central and eastern stretches of the coastline and communities located along the shore.

For southcentral Alaska and the Anchorage area over the next few days…clearing skies.

We stay on the dry side until Saturday, when another round of snow edges into the region from the east.

The Kenai Peninsula will see highs in the 30s Thursday, same in Prince William Sound to the Susitna and Matanuska Valleys.

Southeast panhandle residents will be getting heavy amounts of rain and some snow moving in with the arrival of latest storm. Winter storm warning over the northern region. 6-9 inches of snow. Winds will also be strong over the region …
