High Wind Warning issued for Chautauqua and Southern Erie counties for Tuesday [Video]

The warning is in effect from 9 a.m. Tuesday until 11 p.m.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A High Wind Warning has been issued for Chautauqua and Southern Erie counties, according to the National Weather Service. 

The warning is in effect from 9 a.m. Tuesday until 11 p.m.

The cities in the counties include Jamestown, Orchard Park, and Springville.

The NWS said winds are expected to get to 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. The strongest winds will be along the Lake Erie shore and near north and northwest-facing slopes.

This may cause damaging winds that will blow down trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected, the NWS.
