Holyoke company working to help keep food in the supply chain [Video]

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) — A Holyoke business is making strides as one of this year’s top green tech companies.

“It’s a really great testament to the hard work our team has done to be able to go from basically an idea on a napkin five years ago to now being the first commercially active plasma treatment for seeds in the United States,” said Dan White, CEO of Clean Crop Technologies in Holyoke.

Clean Crop in Holyoke is now named one of the top companies to focus on innovation to help communities across the state. Operating out of their Dwight Street location in Holyoke since 2021, the state-of-the-art facility is using tools to safely keep food in a supply chain.

“We use something called cold plasma to remove contaminants from seeds, reducing crop loss for growers and seed companies across the food space,” White noted.
