The discussion with Brendan Fox, Managing Director of Destination Sport Experiences, touched on a number of areas. From a background on how the company came about and what it offers the travelling athlete, the conversation moved on to areas such as the post-pandemic event landscape, through to the cost of living crisis and climate issues.
Although a relatively new firm (having been established in late 2021), the Destination Sport Experiences team does have an extensive background in offering travel services to mass participation events and ‘fan travel’ to pro sporting events.
In August, its Sportive Breaks operation was confirmed as an official travel provider of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Scotland. Meanwhile, Destination Sport Experiences also recently joined forces with international running travel specialists Marathon Tours & Travel to bolster its reach in the running space.
