Invenergy to host two public forums for proposed Sycamore Riverside Energy Center | News [Video]

Residents will be able to ask questions about upcoming energy projects in the area

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A nationwide clean-energy production company, Invenergy, will be hosting two public forums in Sullivan County for its proposed Sycamore Riverside Energy Center project. 

The company’s goal is to turn Sullivan County into a mass producer of renewable energy here in the Midwest.

Already, Invenergy has been installing solar panels on land across Sullivan County as part of the Fairbanks Energy Solar Center. This solar center will produce enough clean energy to power over fifty thousand homes.

The next step is the proposed Sycamore Riverside Energy Center. This project will be a gas powered power plant, that uses clean gases to produce energy. The project is still in the proposal stage, with a completion goal of 2028. There is more information about this project here.
