Iran Bars “Several” UN Inspectors from Nuke Program, Says West “Abused” IAEA for Political Purposes

The UN nuclear watchdog has criticised Iran for barring several experienced inspectors from monitoring its nuclear programme. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi condemned Iran’s “disproportionate and unprecedented” move. Grossi said Iran’s move to bar the inspectors hinders its oversight of Tehran’s atomic activities. Iran’s move came after the West called on Tehran to cooperate immediately with the IAEA. The US, France, Germany and the UK called on Iran to explain uranium traces found at undeclared sites. Tehran said the “de-designation” was in retaliation for “political abuses” by the US, France, Germany and the UK. Watch this video to know more.
