Marion County Free Eclipse Glasses [Video]

INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County Public Health Department is giving Hoosiers the chance to view the total solar eclipse on April 8.

According to a news release from the department, the department will have three opportunities for individuals to get approved eclipse viewing glasses at no charge. Those opportunities include:

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lafayette Square Mall, located at 3919 Lafayette Road.
• 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Washington Square Mall, located at 10202 E. Washington St.
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Marion County Public Health Department, located at 3838 N. Rural St., as part of the “Prioritizing the Totality of Your Health” open house.

Marion County, as well as other parts of Indiana, are considered to be in the “path of totality” for April 8’s total solar eclipse. The offices of the department will be closed on April …
