Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley says that the city is moving towards recovery, a decade after the crisis began.

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – A decade later after the Flint water crisis started, the city is in the early stages of picking up the pieces and moving past the issue.

Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley is leading the city through its recovery. He reflected on how the water crisis has reshaped the city where he was born and raised.

Neeley took office in 2019, long after the initial response to the water crisis was over and Flint returned to drinking water from Detroit’s municipal system. He’s charged with helping the city move forward 10 years after the crisis started.
