Eligible homeowners can apply for rebates up to $10,000 through BC Hydro. Larger installations, such as those in apartment buildings and schools, can receive rebates up to $150,000. The program will launch in late July.
The initiative aims to help individuals and businesses generate their own electricity, reduce energy bills, and contribute clean energy back to the grid. Josie Osborne, Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, emphasized the need for more clean energy to power homes and businesses.
Tesla has recently updated its Powerwall pricing in Canada. A single Powerwall system with the required Gateway costs about $12,000. Two Powerwalls cost around $23,000. These prices exclude taxes, delivery, and installation.”
