WASHINGTON (TND) — Environmental, social and governance – also known as ESG – is a regulation that focuses on climate and social issues when making corporate decisions. The Biden administration’s controversial investing rule is impacting American schools.
Parents Defending Education investigative fellow Alex Nester joined The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat Friday morning to discuss her organization’s investigation into ESG.
“It’s sort of a credit system focused on promoting ideas like you know, climate change activism and social justice and really it’s just another way of pushing divisive ideologies about race and gender, as well as a certain idea about climate change on our students,” she said.
Nester says ESG is a set of operating principles that prioritizes a stakeholder-centric or public private partnership approach to solving issues.
