Protestors disrupt Governor Shapiros visit in Scranton [Video]

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — During Governor Josh Shapiro’s visit, there were a few disruptions from the crowd. Two men from Susquehanna County were escorted out of the building.

The men asked the governor when he would return to Dimock, a rural community that’s drinking water was polluted by Houston-based Coterra Energy for more than a decade.

“He promised he’d come back up, he’s going to make sure we have water, He’s going to make sure they deliver us water. Here it is two years after the court case, I still don’t have water in my house,” said Dimock Township resident Ray Kimble.

“He’s a liar, he said Ray would have clean water, Ray still doesn’t have and that’s 14 months after he promised him clean water. They could make Cabott, Coterra deliver water to all these people’s houses,” said Craig Stevens of Silver Lake Township.
