Severe weather moves through central Nebraska, damage reported [Video]

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Friday turned into a very active weather day as tornadoes were spotted in several areas throughout Nebraska.

The first storm formed north of Kearney around 11 a.m. and that storm tracked from Buffalo County all the way to Antelope County, producing several tornadoes along its path.

Damage was reported near the communities of Ravenna, Rockville and Elba. There was likely other damage along the path.

One Buffalo County homeowner said his shed was destroyed with damage to vehicles and other property. Nobody was injured.

Buffalo County EMA Darrin Lewis said most of the damage in Buffalo County was consolidated to the north Ravenna area. He said there were reports of damage to barns, grain bins, and power lines.
