Tracking pleasant weather to wrap-up June [Video]

The weather was active on Saturday as severe storms plowed through central Indiana during the afternoon. There were several wind damage reports associated with the storms, but flooding was also a concern with the torrential downpours. The highest rainfall totals were W/NW of Indianapolis, impacting northern Putnam, Hendricks, and Montgomery counties. The city received 0.66” of rain yesterday, which brings June’s total to 2.16”. Additional rainfall is not expected for today, so we will wrap-up the month with that total.

A high-pressure feature is moving into the Great Lakes region today and tomorrow. It will result in dry, clear, and more comfortable conditions for the state. With dew points dropping below 60°, you can expect less humid weather for today. Highs will also be slightly cooler and should only rise into the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.
