Shadow Climate Change and Energy Minister Ted O’Brien says using nuclear energy with renewables makes “power prices come down”.
Mr O’Brien joined Sky News host Danica De Giorgio to discuss the benefits of Australia using nuclear power for energy.
“If we learned from Canada, if learned from the United States, from the UK, from Japan,” he said.
“Most of our peer countries around the world, once they have nuclear in the mix, power prices come down.
“From a public policy perspective, our job is to get power prices down.”
