NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — 16 years after the murder of a 19-year-old in the Freret neighborhood, the case remains unsolved. It’s the focus of the latest Wheel of Justice report.

On April 12, 2008, the body of Jonathan Aris was found under a house in the 4900 block of Willow Street. He’d been shot to death.

About a week later, Crimestoppers joined the New Orleans Police Department at the scene to speak with reporters and announce an increase in the reward for tips. To this day, nobody has been convicted of the crime.
