The Salvation Army of Greater New Orleans is heading to Slidell to assist tornado victims and first responders. They loaded up supplies in two emergency canteens to help people affected by this morning’s tornadoes and are expected to be there within two hours. Water, snacks, coffee and energy drinks will also be given by the Army’s FEDX and Community Coffee emergency feeding units. There will also be spiritual and emotional support for first responders and residents who need it after today’s severe weather. An exact location hasn’t been determined yet, but an update will be provided when they arrive.
