‘About two things’: Reasons behind Labor’s push to increase gas taxes [Video]

LNP MP Keith Pitt believes there is an agenda behind Labor’s push to raise tax on gas companies.

Mr Pitt’s comments come ahead of a political showdown expected to go before parliament this week over the need to change gas taxes.

“It’s about two things for the Labor Party,” Mr Pitt told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“$2.4 billion in extra taxes that they can put in the bank and spend on whatever it is that they want to do.

“And trying to show the Greens voters just how tough they are on the offshore oil and gas sector.”
