Russian forces have reportedly begun to deploy a new autonomous unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) with drone-jamming capabilities. Developed by Scientific and Production Enterprise Geran (NVP Geran), the new drones, named “Abzats,” are also partially controlled by artificial intelligence (AI).

The drone-jamming UGVs effectively consist of an autonomous chassis with Russian-developed anti-drone jamming devices strapped on their back. The Abzats can reportedly move along a pre-assigned route without the operator’s direct control and suppress “all operating frequencies used by Ukrainian UAVs.”

This news comes only a few weeks after Ukrainian forces managed to take down and capture a Russian “Tsar” tank with drone jamming technology.
