The owner of Stone Hill Ranch in Mayflower says he still has space for people looking to view the total solar eclipse on April 8.

MAYFLOWER, Ark. — Most hotels and Airbnbs around central Arkansas were booked months ago by people looking for a great spot to experience the total solar eclipse on April 8.

The high demand has created struggles for people waiting to find a place, and one farm in Mayflower hopes to alleviate some of that stress.

They’ve used the land for years for events like hosting chuckwagon races and live bands.

“A country atmosphere with an open sky for this eclipse,” Stone Hill Ranch Owner Rusty Waters said. “Should be a good time. We are playing inside the venue here with stages, lights and sound.”

Fifty aces of the field can be rented, and they’ll have solar eclipse glasses available.
