It looked like a good turnout for the annual “Walk for Warmth” in Anchorage. The United Way of Anchorage shared photos from the event sponsored by ENSTAR Natural Gas Company. Folks walked through downtown Anchorage to raise awareness and money for those who are struggling to stay warm this winter.

Some volunteers with the American Red Cross of Alaska spent the weekend in Kotzebue. The “Red Crossers” were out installing smoke alarms, teaching kids how to be prepared in case of a disaster and recruiting more volunteers.

If you didn’t get tickets for Ludacris’s show at the Alaska State Fair yet, I have some bad news. The Grammy-winning rapper is set to perform in Palmer on August 23. Tickets went on sale Friday morning and Alaskans didn’t mess around. Fair officials confirm tickets for the show are SOLD OUT!
