ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Atlantans are paying more for nearly everything compared to a year ago, according to the newest inflation report released on Wednesday.
The consumer price index increased 3.5% nationwide over the last 12 months. In Atlanta, it went up 3.3%.

That means you’re paying 3.3% more for things like food, energy and rent than last year.
Federal leaders say the cost of housing and gas prices are to blame for the increase.
