SALEM, Ore. — Average gasoline prices have risen 11.3 cents compared to last week — averaging at $4.33 per gallon today, according to a new survey from GasBuddy. This is more than the national average, which rose 6.5 cents in the last week at an average of $3.57 per gallon today. 

Below is a statement from Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, about this increase.
