Amidst a severe water crisis in Bangalore, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has imposed restrictions on the use of water for Holi celebrations by commercial establishments. Concerns over depleting groundwater levels and dry borewells prompted the board to prohibit the use of Cauvery water and borewell water for rain dances and pool parties organized by hotels and resorts.
