Big warm-up on the way as highs return to the 80s [Video]

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – We have another 24 hours to enjoy this great weather because big changes are on the way as we continue through the week.

Tuesday features low humidity, sunshine and a warmer afternoon. Highs will trend back to the upper 70s to near 80 as the humidity remains quite pleasant. Unfortunately, this will be the last day of the less-humid air.

Overnight and especially on Wednesday, a warmer air mass will begin to move in. This will send highs back to the 80s and that pleasant sunshine will become a sweat producer. Temperatures in the mornings will also be trending up, as we jump to near 70 by the end of the week.

But as Jazz Fest gets ready to open Thursday, there are no rain chances on the horizon anytime soon.
