‘Climate denialist’: Andrew Forrest claims Gina Rinehart ‘married to fossil fuels’ [Video]

The notion wind and solar farms would take up prime agricultural land is “absolute rubbish,” says Fortescue Chairman Andrew Forrest.

“We could send Australia green and we would lose less than 0.5 per cent of our country,” he told Sky News.

“And I’m not proposing putting wind farms and solar panels over rich farming country.”

Sky News presenter Peter Stefanovic asked if he stood with Gina Rinehart’s position on renewable energy.

“I think she is married to fossil fuels and that is what she sticks to – she’s a climate denialist mate,” Mr Fortescue answered.
