DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – A potential development plan for a former farm site is causing upset among nearby community members in Summerville.
A public notice from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control lays out a civil plan to build a 60-acre lot subdivision with one entrance and exit. The property is 47 acres and sits right off the I-26 exit at Jedburg Road.
“Twenty years ago, this was pure country. You came off the road and you barely saw a car. Not anymore,” Summerville homeowner Karen Arnold says.
