Congress Takes ‘Modi’s Washing Machine’ Jibe After Turncoat Leader Praful Patel Gets CBI Clean Chit In Corruption Case [Video]

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has closed a corruption case involving Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Praful Patel, nearly eight months after he joined the rival BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) following a vertical split in the party.

The federal probe agency filed the closure report in its probe into the alleged irregularities in the leasing of aircraft by National Aviation Corporation of India Ltd. (NACIL) – created after the merger of Air India and Indian Airlines – as there was no “evidence of any wrongdoing, news agency PTI reported quoting officials. 

Following this, Congress took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the CBI giving a clean chit to former Union minister Praful Patel in an alleged corruption case.
