OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) – One Dale County nonprofit has a message for the public after a string of recent thefts.
This weekend, people were caught on camera looking through donations at the Salvation Army’s Ozark Family Store. Donations meant for those in need were stolen by others.
“I’ll tell you, it is very sad,” Jason Johns, the center service manager and director for Dale and Coffee County Salvation Army, said.
The Salvation Army of Dale County aims to help those in need. Whether it be rental assistance, helping families after loss or assisting with the aftermath of natural disasters or fires.
They do this through the help of donations.
“The Salvation Army has done this for over 150 years,” Johns said.
Unfortunately, people raiding their donation dock has become an area of concern for this location.
