Doosan Bobcat’s Hydrogen First-Ever 3 Ton Fuel Cell-Powered Forklift [Video]

For Today’s Hydrogen News – https://www.hydrogenfuelnews.com/featured-news/ Doosan Bobcat is taking significant strides in revolutionizing the Korean material handling fleet by introducing its first-ever hydrogen fuel cell-powered electric forklift, the Doosan Hydrogen B35X-7P. The company plans to operationalize 30 of these groundbreaking HFCEV forklifts this year. This forklift, which can lift up to 3 tons, is a Bobcat electric forklift that has been retrofitted with a 20 kW fuel cell in place of a battery. It’s slated for delivery to the Korea Zinc Onsan refinery in Ulsan, Korea. Unlike many previous HFC forklift prototypes and concepts, the B35X-7P has successfully completed its R&D cycle and reached limited production status. Doosan Bobcat’s President, Hyungwon Park, expressed pride in the company’s pioneering role in commercializing hydrogen fuel cell forklifts in Korea. The company also revealed plans to extend its hydrogen forklift range by converting its 2- and 5-ton electric models and incorporating hydrogen fuel cells into Bobcat electric skid-steers and excavators soon. As part of a pilot rollout in 2024, Doosan aims to supply 30 hydrogen forklifts to selected Korean companies and plans to certify a second 3-ton model, equipped with a 10 kW fuel cell, later this year.
