Drivers enjoy lower prices at KC area gas pumps as average continues to fall [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Drivers in the Kansas City area continue to enjoy lower prices at the pump as the average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline continues to fall.

GasBuddy.com announced on Monday, Feb. 26, that the average price of gasoline in the KC area stands at about $2.83 per gallon. The survey of 752 gas stations in the metro revealed prices fell about 4.1 cents from the week before, 23.8 cents from the month before and 13.3 cents from the year before.

AAA indicated that the average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in the State of Kansas was $2.88 while diesel ran about $3.68 per gallon. In Missouri, the average rang in at $2.89 for unleaded. Diesel cost drivers the same amount in both states.
