SYNOPSIS – Our next chance of showers and storms is on track for Friday night into Saturday morning as a cold front approaches the area. If enough energy can build ahead of this front, a few of the storms could be severe. The main threats will be gusty winds and isolated tornadoes, mainly during Saturday morning. A slight risk of severe weather (level 2 of 5) is possible for early to mid-morning Saturday. Conditions will calm down after that with temperatures reaching the middle 70s right before the front comes through Saturday. Colder air settles in for Monday morning with lows in the lower to middle 40s.
