Egg-sized hailstones blitzed Fuzhou City in east China’s Jiangxi Province at around 18:00 on Sunday, leaving vehicles and buildings damaged.

The hailstorm left devastation in Fuzhou, with bicycles and e-mopeds whisked away from the roadside, commercial boards toppled, and tree trunks falling across the road.

Some residential buildings had their rooftops blown away in the hailstorm. The owners of the buildings have begun repair work to restore the rooftops.

The city’s meteorological department has advised residents to pay close attention to weather forecasts in the coming days while taking precautions to ensure the safety and security of their belongings.
