Expect gas prices to rise in Colorado [Video]

COLORADO (KKTV) – If you planned a road trip a couple of months ago, chances are those plans just became more expensive according to AAA.

Gas prices across Colorado averaged about $3s per gallon on Friday, 10 cents higher than last month. AAA and other oil companies expect these prices to continue to rise.

Prices are at an average of 3.53 per gallon across the country and peak at $5per gallon in California on Friday.

AAA says that this early spring spike in gas prices is due in part to the rising cost of oil recently. Also, these prices will continue to rise as travel increases with vacation seasons, spring break, and summer ahead of us.
