HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -A week removed from a high wind and tornado outbreak not witnessed in more than a decade, the region is preparing for a second outburst of strong windstorms. At risk, thunderstorms armed with large hail, damaging winds and even a few twisters. The scenario to produce the heavy weather would start innocently enough with run-of-the-mill morning showers and rumbles. But by mid-day, the skies will open up for sunshine and temperatures will shoot for 75-80 degrees. Meanwhile the wind will be blowing all day long at ground level (20 mph) and in the clouds above (50-80mph). Once the sun comes out, it will do its best to send the air rising and clouds and thunderheads to ignite. In time these storms would grow into 10 mile high thunderheads capable of high winds (straight line or circular), large hail (1″ diameter) and a few tornado warnings from the National …
