WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Not a bad idea to grab the umbrella on Thursday for those south of HWY 29. Light and scattered rain will fall occasionally Thursday. Cold and windy weather conditions settle in by Saint Patrick’s Day.
Not everyone is expected to see rain Thursday. Areas over the Northwoods should remain dry but overcast. Scattered rain will be confined to areas south of HWY 29. Heavy rainfall will fall over the southern parts of the state around the Madison region. Locally, Central Wisconsin will see light rain flowing as far north as Marathon County during the afternoon hours.
